Ten Strips, One Rig
True sub, two clean cabs (15" and 12"), three driven mics (57, 421, tweeter), two octave-up high layers and two rooms. Plus four user slots to design your own.
One bass DI becomes a full layered rig: a true sub, two clean cabs, three driven mics, two octave-up high layers and two room mics, all under one roof. Per-strip EQ, tweakable drive characters, sidechain ducking with an external input, presets and multi-out stems. The premium sibling of Bass Better-er.
The trial is the full plugin, free until 1 October 2026, for any use, commercial productions included. A blue line in the plugin counts down the days; when it hits zero the trial mutes. No account, no dongle, nothing phones home. Feedback to contact@boxofrules.com.

Captured drive characters per mic chain with four macro dials and an expert drawer. Amp voicings swap the whole cab family in one move.
Any strip ducks against any other strip, or against an external sidechain. Kick ducks the lows, band mode leaves the rest alone.

1. Download the build for your platform above: macOS .dmg, Windows .exe, or Linux VST3 zip. 2. Run the installer and tick the formats you want. 3. Rescan plugins in your DAW and load Box of Bass on a bass DI track.
The macOS build is Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple, so it installs and opens with no Gatekeeper prompt. AAX for Pro Tools is signed with the Avid toolchain and ships inside the macOS installer. Windows is unsigned for now, so SmartScreen may warn: More info, then Run anyway. The two octave-up high layers report a small latency to your DAW only while one of them is switched on; everything else is zero latency.
