Bass
Better-er

Drop it on a bass DI and it splits one signal into parallel studio-captured layers: sub, body, dirt and room, blended back into one bigger instrument. Built from real Box of Rules captures. Free while it is in beta, with a Premium version on the way.

What It Does

The Chain
01 · Capture

Real Bass Tone

Voiced from the captures used on the records, not generic presets. The starting point already sits in a mix.

02 · Layer

Sub, Body, Dirt, Room

One DI fans out into parallel layers, each owning its slice of the spectrum, then glued back into one instrument.

03 · Beta

Free Now, Premium Soon

The full plugin is free while it is in beta. Tell me what breaks and what you want; it shapes the Premium release.

Install

Quick Start

1. Download the build for your platform above: macOS .dmg, Windows .exe, or Linux VST3 zip. 2. Run the installer, or drop the VST3 / AU into your plugins folder. 3. Rescan plugins in your DAW and load Bass Better-er on a bass DI track.

On macOS the build is signed but not notarised, so the first open is blocked. Open System Settings, Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway (or right-click then Open on older macOS). Full per-platform steps live in the repo README. Hit a snag? Open an issue.
